Program Overview

BSC Nursing is a four-year program at CMC that aims at preparing middle level nursing graduates who are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude competencies required for them to function as efficient care providers, teachers, and middle level managers in the hospital as well as community settings.

CMC envisions training nurses who are conversant with the health problems of the communities they will serve; and who have knowledge, skills and above all, appropriate attitudes that will make them sufficiently competent to run the health services effectively. In order to achieve our mission at CMC, the School of Nursing uses community–oriented, evidence and skill-based programs, which as much as possible are responsive to the needs of the community in both rural and urban settings. The study programs in the School of Nursing are implemented using modalities that encourage active learning to ensure that the graduates become life-long self–directed learners and are well equipped to make a difference in the healthcare delivery.
